An Islamic Montessori nursery on Preston Road
At Preston Road we teach the Montessori method and the full EYFS within Islamic values. Children learn Arabic and start each meal with Bismillah as part of an ordinary Montessori day. We welcome families of all faiths from the area.

What makes it an Islamic nursery
Children learn the Montessori way, hands-on and child-led. Our staff bring gratitude, Arabic and the stories of the Prophets into that same day, through play and conversation.
Stories of the Prophets
Children hear the stories of the Prophets and the Qur'an during play. Staff draw on those lessons in kindness when children share toys or take turns in the garden.
Gratitude in everyday words
Children say Bismillah before they eat and Alhamdulillah after, and talk about shukr at circle time. Over time they remember Allah in the way they speak.
Ramadan and Eid
We celebrate Ramadan and Eid in a big way, so children feel they belong and feel proud of who they are.
Arabic every day
Staff use simple Arabic words and phrases in the classroom, so children grow up familiar with the language of the Qur'an.
Teachers as role models
Young children copy the adults around them. Our staff model the manners and character we hope your child will show.
Each child at their own pace
We see each child as unique, created by Allah in the best form, and encourage them to explore and grow at their own speed.
We serve only halal food. We also follow the full EYFS, so your child meets the same milestones as at any nursery in England.

Common questions
Can families who aren't Muslim join?
Yes. Preston Road is an Islamic nursery, and we welcome families of all faiths. The Islamic parts of the day are open to all children. If you'd like your child to skip the Arabic sessions, just tell us.
How is it different from an ordinary Montessori nursery?
We teach the same child-led, hands-on Montessori method and follow the full EYFS. We change the rhythm around it: children open the day with Bismillah and hear Arabic and the stories of the Prophets through the week.
Is the food halal?
Yes, all of it.
What ages do you take, and where are you?
We take children from birth to five at 309 Preston Road, Harrow HA3 0QQ. We're a short walk from Preston Road station, close to Wembley and Kenton.
